Hume Bulls FC was established in 1989 in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, beginning as a small community‑driven football club with a passion for developing players of all ages in a supportive and competitive environment. Over the years, the club has grown steadily, competing in State League 4 North and building a strong reputation for teamwork, resilience, and grassroots player development. Today, Hume Bulls FC continues to serve the North Melbourne community, offering pathways for juniors, seniors, and families to be part of a proud and inclusive football culture. Whether you’re a player, volunteer, or supporter, Hume Bulls FC welcomes you to be part of our growing football community.
he Assyrian Cup is one of the most cherished traditions in our community, held twice every year — in March in Melbourne and in October in Sydney. For more than 30 years, Hume Bulls FC has proudly hosted and organised the Melbourne edition, bringing families, players, and supporters together for a truly special football experience. This tournament unites clubs from across Melbourne and Sydney, creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment where competition and community spirit go hand in hand. The event runs over four exciting days, beginning with the opening matches on Friday and concluding with the grand final on Monday. Final day celebrations are a highlight of the Assyrian Cup. Before the big match, we host a vibrant community party featuring singers, live music, and entertainment. The final is marked by a special ceremony attended by respected community figures, sponsors, and representatives from the local council — all coming together to honour this long‑standing tradition. The Assyrian Cup is more than a tournament. It’s a celebration of heritage, unity, and the passion that brings our community together year after year.
